New Hampshire
GENERAL INFORMATION
The NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY IS HELD ON JANUARY 8, 2008.
Voting Takes place all day, and the counting begins that night when the polls close at around 6:30 or 7:30 PM EST .
Operation Watch the Vote 2008 is cooperating with WatchTheVote2008.com and LibertyBroadcastNetwork.com As a citizen correspondent, you are taking part in an historic effort to double check the results announced on the night of the New Hampshire Primary by Voter News Service/National Election Pool and its owners: ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX, and AP wire service. In the past, these corporations have been caught falsifying election results (i.e., the Iowa Presidential Caucus in Dubuque , Iowa 1996; FOX did not exist at that time) and apparently trying to warp election results through uniform, dubious projections (i.e., Senator Bob Smith Senate Race in New Hampshire in 1998.)
There are 210 voting precincts in NH. 105 are counted in the open by hand. 105 are counted in secret, by computer.
The danger is that the results published from the “hide the ballots” computer-counted part of the New Hampshire will be falsified to inflate the vote of the candidates favored by the Republican National Committee, the Democratic National Committee, and the 5 Big TV Networks, and also to suppress the vote of the candidates not favored by these entities.
By ascertaining the results at each of the polling places in New Hampshire , and publishing our independently collected results on the internet as soon as possible, citizens across the United States can check the certain results from the hand counted portion of NH, versus the published results in the secretly counted computer part of NH.
Needless to say, the results should not be drastically different from computer counted precincts to hand counted precincts in such a small, relatively homogenous state like New Hampshire .
Wherever there is use of secret computer counts where the ballots are hidden from the people during the count, this Watch the Vote 2008 system is the best US citizens can do on election night to try and ensure an honest vote count. (As the use of Vote Verification Affidavits increases by alert citizens who are forced to vote on secret computerized systems, then we will have an increasing and irrefutable check and balance on such secret computer “counts.”)

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES
On location CORRESPONDENT [boots on the ground]
- Before leaving for the polling place, print out the tally sheet for all the candidates available at the confirmation page on this web site.
- Be at your assigned polling place on election day before the counting begins; counting will begin as early as 6:30 PM at some polling places in New Hampshire.
- If you are at a hand counted polling place, observe the hand count. (By state law you have the right to stand within six feet of the counting tables and observe and/or film the count); -- or
- If you are in a computer-“counted” precinct, watch what can be seen during the secret computer count, while making note of what you observe for the information of all US citizens. (If you are at a computer counted place and can there all day, use a hand-held counter to record how many voters go into the polling place. This is a check to prevent artificial inflation of the number of voters at computer counted polling places.)
- Wherever you are, use the tally sheet which you downloaded from this web site, and write down the final count as it is announced in your precinct.
- Finally, you will cause the results you recorded to be uploaded to the internet in one of two ways:
- Either call your assigned at-home support person who will then upload your results from his/her home computer to WatchTheVote2008.com – or
- If you have a laptop computer and can access the internet, you can upload the results yourself.
